  • Re: Aged cheesesteaks on the 28 Black Stone

    I'd tap that.
  • Re: Ice fishing with the mini

It's nice to see kids out on the ice! I seen a couple while out ice fishing today that had a couple kids with them. They had to of been 2-3 years old. All bundled up playing on the ice. I can't wait for my kid to get a little older. He's only 14 months old and has a brother on the way so it'll be a while.
  • First time Flat Iron success

Grilled a flat iron for the first time ever tonite. I seen this in the store and it looked too good to pass up. I went raised direct at 400 degrees. Next time I'll cook it hotter at 550 or so for a better crust. I sprinkled on some kosher salt an hour or so before the cook and then seasoned with DP raising the steaks before I threw it on. Served on a bed of wild rice with sweet corn I froze last fall.

  • Re: Flat Iron Steak help

Thanks folks. Looks like I'll go raised direct on the CI grid instead of the CI sear plate. I'll post pics.
  • Re: Had a need for some spares.

Those look killer. Beautiful smoke ring. I've been using peach a lot lately myself. I'd definitely tap that.
