  • Re: BGE For Sale

I paid $300 for my used with pretty much all the same accessories. Table was in same condition. Egg was almost perfect (no cracks, no firebox cracks etc). I would never pay $300 again. I am now dealing ith a cracked egg and have no way to replace it under warranty. But, for $300, it has treated me well for 4 years.

I can't imagine buying one of those knowing the wagyu gold brisket is the same price and I can feed 15 with that and sides as opposed to just me on that ribeye cap. That's why this post says I want it, not I ordered it. But I bet it's farking delicious.
Feed 15 off of one 20-28oz steak? Now I am even more confused. Where did I go wrong?
@busmania - You went wrong thinking he was still talking about the rib eye cap :)  He was talking about buying brisket for the same price and feeding 15, vs buying the cap and just having a large meal for one
Thanks. I knew I was off somewhere. and I was thinking the same thing about buying the brisket vs this cut. Although it looks incredible.
  • Re: "angus" brisket? Better than prime or choice?

WTF happened in here? For all of those who answered my question, thank you.
  • Re: "angus" brisket? Better than prime or choice?

Angus is just a particular type of cattle and it doesn't have anything to do with the USDA grade.  It should also list the grade on the package.  I think the brisket is probably choice grade at RD.

That being said- I have heard that Angus choice briskets are better than other choice and have heard good things about the RD briskeys in particular.

Good to hear. They were actually out of them so I could not look at the packaging. I will be going back early next week when they have more. at $2.99/pound, how could I not try it? Cant wait!

Most useful, best investment I ever made (yes, investment, I bought it cheap!) for some reason I cannot add a photo so I apologize but here is a link. I've been toying with the idea of selling or trading up. Or just adding a chevy nova to the fleet so the family can actually ride in it too.
