@WeberWho? ; OMG, that charcuterie looks incredible!  (so do some of the prices!)
Real Jamon Iberico de bellota is one of the most delicious things you can possibly eat.  Because they add more than half their weight eating acorns their fat is closer the chemical composition of olive oil than the fat on pork we get at the supermarket.  It tends to get runny at room temperature (that's why they have those little cups hanging from the bottom, so fat doesn't drip on people's heads) and will melt in your mouth.

In-laws and one set of SWMBO's aunts and uncles are on their way.  Tri-tip going on reverse seat and double fisting is happening.

  • Re: Sonos Sound System

Love Sonos; it is so convenient to be able to have music in the whole house, or to be able to only have it on in the kitchen.  The speakers are good, if your buddy is a serious audiophile and is used to high end speakers, he might not be super happy, but they are solid.

If he's playing music out of his music library he'll need to adjust the computer's sleep settings; it is a pain when the music cuts off and you need to go wake the laptop back up.
  • Re: fav cocktails?

I enjoy a good manhattan or old fashioned when I'm out; usually never make them at home because we never have bitters on hand.

At home I generally stick to something out of a dark & stormy, caipirinha, mule (I usually don't have vodka either, so I will make a Tennessee or Kentucky mule, depending on whether I use Jack or bourbon) or a mojito.
  • Re: OT Formal dining?

@eggcelsior - I believe Henkel Harris, but I'm not 100% certain without double checking with the Mrs.  I know we've gotten a Henkel Harris corner curio from them.
