  • Re: OT, OT, OT. Missing plane

Well said @stlcharcoal. Few things will make your butt pucker like smelling smoke in the cockpit. You need the ability to shut off electronics to stop the possible cause and troubleshoot the issue as you bring systems back online one at a time.

Once the parts arrive, update the original post so if someone finds your post in the future, they can see that CGW took care of the issue. As you mentioned, all companies make mistakes in one way or another. What matters is how they handle it. Some of my favorite businesses are those that I have had a problem with but they stepped up and went above and beyond to take care of the issue.

  • Re: Exploding concrete with chimney starter.

Glad all turned out OK. I learned in a welding class to never weld or use a torch on concreate because water vapor, trapped in the voids, will expand until the concreate gives way in an explosive fashion.

  • Re: Trying 4---8# butts at once. Should be fun!!

Looks good.  With that much pork and a shallow drip pan, be sure and keep an eye on it so you don't end up with a mess or grease fire with a ruined cook.

Set it and forget it.  Sauce at the end if someone requests theirs wet.
