  • Re: Raising a grid with bolts and washers

I see all of you guys are securing the top grate to the bottom with nuts and washers.

When I did this mod, I put the nut and washer on the bottom, to act like "feet" that way I can simply pick up the upper grate when its not in use and move it. I also like the way I did it because when you have food on both upper and lower grates I can remove the upper grate and place it on the table while I tend to the food on lower grate, this way I m not fighting with the tongs in a space that is about 4" tall.

  • Re: Rutland Gasket install with pics

yea, that's a lot left over lol.. I just did my minimax and had about 2" left over. clean that permatex off after a few days. its an eye sore :)
  • Re: Lump

    I'm all set now!
I asked the manager if he would discount the lump even more if I took the entire pallet and he told me he would sell it for $6 a box.
So I bought all 37 boxes

Char-Broil boxed lump is so much better than any other lump. It raises the bar a couple of notches. I tried Rockwood and was not impressed. Tried this and was amazed. This is the lump that everyone dreams about. Lites fast and easy. Hit's high temperature at 500* in 5 minutes. No Smoke.  Stock up now while its on sale!
Are you serious or kidding? Kinda hard to tell, especially the way this thread is going
  • Re: Price for Max Mini
