  • It's hard to tell what these guys did here on this page: http://beecavekitchen.blogspot.com/2011/09/baking-artisan-bread-on-big-green-egg.html If I had to guess, they put their grate on the ring, put the water pan on the grate (in the middle) and th…
  • Wow, so glad it ended up being nothing worse.  I had a really odd cooking experience recently.  As I was standing by my egg, watching the smoke coming from the daisy wheel, the smoke suddenly stopped.  I then heard an odd sound -- like air rushing i…
  • Just got my WG delivered to my local ACE.  Sad thing is the ACE already had it in stock.  I should have called I guess.  Can't wait to try it out.
  • That looks like a lot of relaxing fun (if that makes sense).   I love the look of a beach in the winter.
  • Charlie-T, do you put any BBQ sauce (or other sauce) at all in the pulled pork?  Or do you just put the PP in a serving dish and let folks add hot sauce as needed?
  • I'm not an ACE Rewards member.  Either the 10% automatically got applied or else it really did "activate" by entering the ACE site through Techbargains.com    If you go to Techbargains.com, you'll see an ACE coupon code on the right hand side.   If …
  • Well, I finally pulled the trigger on WG charcoal and bought it from Ace online using the 10% off code (bummer the 15% wouldn't work).  I am having it shipped to my local store.  Looking forward to giving it a try.  I hope it's as good as everyone s…
  • Anyone ever order Wicked Good from Ace online and have it shipped to their local store?
  • That's interesting.  I wouldn't think sugar would cause that, but I'm no expert.  Was there excess flour on the dough from forming it and placing it on the peel?

  • I'm in Virginia.  I've seen one other egg on a deck recently.  Having said that, there are lots of dealers around here and when I go to the dealer nearest my house -- I tend to see one or two potential customers looking at the eggs and asking questi…

  • That sucks!
  • Focker said:I'm with you man.  I pick up the acrid, nasty, off flavors created by the burnt grease.  Maybe we are supertasters?  :)) I like it.  That's my excuse.  My wife would just say I'm picky :)  I'm wondering if perhaps I didn't burn…
  • It's just personal taste I guess. My other grill is a gas grill and i don't get that smell/flavor grilling on It wurh direct heat. It's not that the smoky taste from the drippings was horrible, but I would prefer it not to be there. It sort of rem…
  • I just used Cowboy for the first time tonight and I was kind of let down.  First off, I had a huge rock about the size of a softball.  And there was a piece of wood that was at least a foot long and maybe 4 inches in diameter.   The fire started wit…
  • I have a Weber that I love and still use. I tend to only use it during the week when the wife gives me cooking duty with a short turn around.
  • Looks great.  I'm sure it will be perfect!
  • That looks fantastic.
  • The scallops look fantastic.  Love the sliced turkey too....makes me want to get a slicer.

  • I use a rub called "Jake's Grilln Beef Rug" that I got from Wegman's.  I really like it.  It's ingredients are ground coffee, sugar, red pepper, black pepper, minced onions, garlic, and some other goodies.   It goes really well on steaks.

  • Tomato Pie?
  • "fit with room to spare" -- that's how it looks in the picture.  Thanks!  I think I got the Large Drip Pan and an XL grid.
  • Wow...just wow.  I feel for all you guys dealing with Nemo.   The "L, XL, S" picture is perfect!
  • Hapster -- I just looked at your blog which led me to your pics.  Really good stuff.
  • I need to get down to the Richmond area to try his food.

  • I've spent some serious hours looking at their site this weekend (and it's only Saturday).  I think I'm going to pull the trigger this week.  I agree with Chainsaw19's comments -- had I known about the AR before I bought my egg I doubt I would have …

  • Thanks, Steve.  I've been checking out the AR from Ceramic Grill Store.  Looks pretty sweet.
