  • I buy the mix from waltons out of emporia, Ks. they used to be midwestern research.  Any way it is a excalibur mix that does 25#. The lava jack cheese I bought from butcher-packer.

  • Looks great, are those store bought canned biscuits? Gotta try that one. yes just pillsbury grand rolled to 3/8" or so then pinched together to fill in gaps.
  • Here it is just before coming off.  I cooked it at 400 for 20 mins. , it was pretty tasty with the wifes salsa on top.

  • turned out great.  I marinated it all day while at work in daddy hinkles garlic and onion. Cooked it  @ 550 3 minutes per side then another 4 min @ 400 per side. Travis not sure on cubes but from what I've read they will be good.

  • I was just reading this post when the wife says I want something sweet. Well now there is a cookie on the grill. I made griffins pineapple upsidedown cake last weekend w/o cherrys,awsome. Here is a pic of the cake
  • well as a fellow lurker I had a successful overnite cook.  The shoulder is off and pulled waiting on smokey beans to cook for a few hours. Then time to strap on the feed bag. 
  • well it may not be a brisket,but pork shoulder is looking good. Pulled pork for lunch.
  • ya mon. temp is down to 260 so it won't be too long before it goes on an hour or so. thanks to travis for calling me out.
