Guys the egg is in good shape. Its approx 2 years old. The only issue is the aftermarket rutland gasket that's on it is a little loose. Doesnt affect the seal at all so I havent replaced it again. As you all know, these things last forever.

Me too. The wife is a school nurse and she is taking off the summer. I am trimming the fat a bit. I'll purchase a new egg in the fall. Maybe grab a mini max this go around.

May be blasphemous to post this here but without a platesetter or woo (or something to go indirect), you'd be better off cooking ribs on a weber where you can separate your lump into a direct and indirect side.
