I made one using reverse seer method found on amazingribs.com. I used DP cow lick as the rub and it turned out awesome. Good luck and check out that website- very detailed
We go for a long weekend almost every year. I really like the area but I will say the beaches aren't the greatest. Coarse sand and some areas drop off faster. But the outer banks are a great spot.
@centex another good spot is in San Diego. There is a fish market and fish taco place called Blue Water Grill- awesome food from a local spot. Parking is a little bit of a pain but not too far from airport or if you like burgers give Hodad's a try. …
I would brine for at least an hour and then raised direct at 300 until internal temp of 170 degrees. I would either put on a rub or marinate in Italian dressing. Good luck
