We hope everyone enjoyed their Fourth of July weekend and is excited for more warm weather grilling! This week, we’ll be making these two burgers: Stuffed Portobello Mushroom and Caribbean Chicken, and also eating lots of these Ice Cream Sandwiches in honor of National Ice Cream Month! It's time to think about getting out to one of the many #EGGfests around the country - see a list here

  • Ribs here.  When I told my better half I wanted ribs, like others, she says "But you'll have to cook."  OK, so where's the problem.  Pick up a growler fill, load up a pipe or grab a cigar, put the ribs on the Egg and I'm good for the afternoon!
  • I've never grilled green beans before.  Was pretty pleased with them...

  • Wish I has known this earlier.  Pork loin, green beans and corn on the cob sure was good though...
  • Hey RPP, not a knock at all.  Have a feeling I simmered it a little too long and concentrated the salt.  Like you said, easy fix.  Been going to the V for years and that recipe is pretty close to theirs.
  • Made a batch this this evening.  Pretty close but it came out a bit on the salty side.  Will definitely be making more!
  • Nice.  We've done something similar inside with pork sausage, cream cheese, bell pepper, and onion for the filling.  Pre-cooking the shell definitely helps.  Got to try the taco filling - that sounds good! BTW, do save a little time when you or you…
  • Sounds like a link in  sigline or maybe at the end of a post is the way to go.  Thanks folks!

  • So the B&B story continues.  When we got home from work this evening there were two HUGE boxes on our front porch addressed to me.  I didn't remember ordering anything and Connie swore she hadn't ordered anything for me.  Looked at the shipping …
  • In my opinion, Yes, Yes and Yes.  I went to the Eggtoberfest October before last and learned a LOT.  In past years, Vidalia1, who is on this board, presented a BGE 101 at the Ga Mountain Eggfest.  Don't know if he's doing it this year or not but it …

  • A follow-up I cross-posted my original post over on the Barbeque Bible forum and one of the guys there suggested that I e-mail the B&B folks and let them know about my experience, as well as some of the other experiences I've read, both pro and…

  • If I can find some good Italian sausage without the little caraway seeds I'll be giving it a try for sure.  We like beef but sausage would definitely add a lot of flavor.
  • They came out good but I need to work on the filling a bit. Maybe less ground beef, more pepperoni and ham and add some onion and ricotta cheese.
  • Definitely going to have to try those someday. We seem to have the worst luck with potatoes

  • Looks like a fun time.  No kilts but I've got the legs for one... ;)
  • Kim told me he did.  I'm not a member there.  Based on information from the WordPress statistics its had a bit of interest there.  I've only posted here a couple of times and its been a while.  I see you're from Salado.  My mom lived there for a c…
  • Thanks folks...knew I'd come to the right place...
  • Was our first time too...was pretty cool getting out of the car on the infield and being blasted with the sounds of stock cars on the track and the aromas food cooking mixed with charcoal smoke...I was having sensory overload before we even got into…
