  • Fred Flintstone Bone in Ribeye.  Hot tubbed, seared 1 minute,1 minute, flip, 1,1 then grilled up top to 140 degrees Internal using my remote thermometer.  Sorry for all of the pre cooked photos - operator error.  Enjoy.Elmer Fudd
  • bob. The chicken looks awesome. Align the screw on top of the daisy wheel so when you open the lid the daisy wheel wont spin so it won't open up and change the temp. I also had chicken tonight, your chicken looks great. Now dirty that egg up. Welc…
  • Good choice on the large. "Size matters". I have a large but may add a mini after watching Mickey's video. That was awesome! Have fun, post pictures, eat well! Elmer Fudd
  • Done deal. Keep it rolling!
  • Get on it. The veggies were a bag of frozen from Costco then chop up the chicken, cut the tails off the shrimp, add some onion, garlic and appropriate spices. Really easy and quite impressive..... And damn tasty. Elmer Fudd
  • Stir Fry Tonight - it was the bomb!.  Used the spider and wok.  Chicken and Shrimp. Great neighbors came over and made an event out of it all.  Got the egg to about 800 degrees, chicken first, add the veggies, then the shrimp. A great bottle of vino…
  • Before and After.  Lamb Chops and Lobster Tails.  The game was also pretty good! Elmer Fudd
  • Couple racks of lamb, Some filets and lobster tails. Perhaps a coctail or twenty I hope the game is as good as the food!
  • Filets are my favorite. Medium rare, remove at 130 internal, I Like medium, remove at 140 internal both direct. I tried hot tubbing and searing recently and the steaks were awesome.
  • The banana leaves didn't provide flavor and unfortunately (sad to say) the charcoal flavor didn't get into the fish as the banana leaves were pretty thick. Sort of defeats the purpose of the egg. The upside was presentation, keeping the fish intact …
  • The cod was really good and yes most.  Ran dome temp at about 400 and cooked 25 minutes - seasoned plus poured melted butter and lemon inside the pouch.  The neighbors were quite impressed with both the flavor and presentation.  Give it a shot - had…
  • Reichm: Welcome. How do you like the composit Trays. I've been thinking about going down that path plus maybe the front one. Thanks, Elmer Fudd
  • Happy Thanksgiving. Picked up a grate last night going to drop a couple filets down low with the spider - first searing attempt. Looking forward to it.
  • Pork Shoulder was a success - the friends thought it was excellent - good smokey flavor, moist and very good!  I appreciate the help today, it really didn't take that long to reach the 190 degree internal temperature after i re lit the egg this morn…
  • Thanks for the advice Squeezy and Tweev_tip.  Sorry GrannyX4, I have already started the process as the clock is ticking.  Hopefully the apple juice and foil will "steam" the shoulder to the finish, and hopefully the smoke flavor has already penetra…
  • How was the pork shoulder?  Also what did you use for spice?  I'm going to smoke a port shoulder overnight;  FYI, the rack does look good.
  • Thanks for the feedback all. Good insights regarding the seal - something to consider Unfortunately I will need some pretty good mobility to move the bge from the garage to the front door (in the MN winter) when I cook and having either egg mates …
  • Food Saver V3825 (attached) has been excellent for me, bought it at Costco just as I purhcased my BGE on the first nice weekend of 2010 in MN.  Comes with a couple different size bags and the marinade function is great - just learned it has multiple…
