  • My maverick wouldn't connect last night (transmitter to reciever), it's time to replace as it's getting cold in Minneapolis.   Does the igrill2 meet expectations?
  • Tired of seeing commercials twice a day - bought 4 of them 2 months ago. All good.
  • Bought Stuffs a couple of years afo. Pretty messy compared to the video unless you use about a fold ball size of meat on the top and bottom if I remember. I usually make a few up,none to eat and shrink wrap others for another day.
  • I'd like to try the BGE paella pan I bought over 2 years ago and I'm dying to make some type of fish stew, bouillabaisse, cioppino & such the Dutch oven in the egg.
  • Good timing on your post. I just rubbed a 6+ pounder with Dizzy Dust and injected 1/2 viniger 1/2 water mix and came to the forum for a a couple reminders on timing. Will need some good food and drink tomorrow when the Packers pounce my Vikings. …
  • A nice filet is my favorite followed by the ribeye. While I buy meat at Costco if I have guests Or want a really nice cut (especially filets) I will buy at my local grocer and butcher shop .... Filets have topped there at $27 per pound so I'd like …
  • I've had the Nest for maybe a couple of years now. I do like it however when my air conditioning or heater is really working hard, I get an error message indicating the nest is not connected to thh heating or cooling system (not a wifi issue). It …
  • Many thanks to RAH and his buddy for making the trip. I was down to 3 bags from last year"s run and picked up another 32 or 1/2 pallet. It was a fun evening and good to see some familiar faces- cold as hell and would have made a good scene in a Mia…
  • Love the mini for the small cooks and it probably gets more use thane the large. Best meal I made on it was a a leg of lamb roast using the mini woo (indirect). Fairly simple but might redo at the frozen fest next week. Ron
  • Don't know the year but an AMC Hornet got it in 1979. Total POS, but a car my parents left with me when they moved from MN to FL. Oh, it had Chevy Supersport hubcaps......... Ugly!
  • I was afraid this posting was from my neighbor! After eating many meals off my egg they bought a Large. I really scored as they are excellent cooks, always make way too much, always invite Elmer Fudd for dinner and send me home with extras. The…
  • Nice find. I scored a mini over the holidays as well from a dealer with the nest for $250. The Woo works for me for indirect. I just posted to another thread that one of the best meals I've made on the mini was a leg of lamb roast indirectt.... S…
  • Looks great, love the mini. Best meal i made was a leg of lamb roast - indirect using the woo.... Was the bomb Be careful ... Even though you are expecting your third cook out of the coals be sure to clean out the ashes at the bottom for air flo…
  • Replaced my gasket with a Rutland today. Used a steel brush and acetone after scraping off the old lousy gasket. Only did the base as the Rutland "rope" is plenty thick and don't need to do both top and bottom.
  • Go for the mini. Added the mini over Christmas - never looked back!
  • I have less guilt or shame if I'm drinking a bloody Mary at 7:00 am (well in public) vs my usual drink of choice.
  • Hey smokin dawg my heart bleeds as I'll see snow on my egg tomorrow morning vs pollen!
  • PROBLEM SOLVED (short term problem).  The Egg is back!!!  Picked up the replacement base today and assembled it quickly. Longer term issue is to take all of the good advice I received from you all and figure out my best long term strategy so I don't…
  • I like the grillbarrell idea and please anyone dont pour out good drink on my behalf. I wheel my egg back to the garage after each use as I don't want it at the entry of my home. I have a hard enough time grilling out front yet leaving it out front…
  • Thanks to everyone for your kind words and new ideas. I have little patience so I expect to order the replacement lower shell tomorrow. I have confirmed the vino may have been my culprit as I double checked a flight I also booked last night for a p…
  • Tipped the whole thing over, the base was the only thing that broke.... unitl i broke the lid.  I saw a new type of nest during our one day of Summer 2012 at a BBQ fest downtown Minneapolis that looked to be a bit beefier (pardon the pun) than the s…
  • I like the all-terrain concept - also like the remote control concept  (I have a remote control golf cart).   I do need a better solution as I don't have any other options than to pull my egg around to the front of my townhome - the association won'…
  • Here's a little Dizzy Pig for you from this weekend's Frozen Fest in Norther MN.  9 Eggs, great food, great people.
  • I like the beer comment. You will fit in. Maybe have a few more beers and order up a second egg tonight.
  • Thanks. Just picked onenupnfor my neighbors. I converted them to the a large last year after many good cooks at my house. They are excellent cooks and feed me well. Thanks for the tip.
  •   Lit said:   You will need to get the woo and the 8" pizza stones off amazon to go indirect but the mini works fine for low and slows. I usually do more of a turbo cook for my shoulders on the mini around 300 or so but I hav…
  • You are obviously smarter than I - sitting outside with your egg and smoking a nice cigar.  I suspect you are further south than Minneapolis.   Attaching photo of a pot roast on the BGE - the best pot roast ever.  Enjoy.your meal! Elmer Fudd
  • Over the holidays I picked up a new mini with stand for $250... Warranty and all. think I got a great buy. The dealer indicated he's had it on the shelf for a while and BGE will make them have one on the floor so they will have to replace when the …
  • V I , fpmanybthanks for the tip. Will use the large for stir fry Elmer Fudd.
  • Awesome pics! I'm very glad I added the mini. Liked your double decker and was surprised to see the beer can chicken fit. This is great"
