That is very nice. What is the whole thing setting on (the base )?
It's sitting on tamped down paver base & paver sand. I couldn't sit it on my patio, because the patio is so unlevel that the blocks wouldn't have laid flat…
I didn't fill the blocks with anything because I didn't want the structure to be permanent. So if I need, I can disassemble it.
The weight of the blocks + counters are more than enough to keep everything in place.
Drip pans are for more than just "cleaning up a mess." If you have a big enough drip pan filled with water, you raise the overall humidity in your Egg. This means more even cooking, juicier meat and an overall better tasting product.
