I like the WG Jakes Blend. Always have a lot of charcoal left after cooks even in the 350-400 degree range. It does take a bit to get started. On week nights, I usually throw 2 fire starters in to get it going quicker.
Frozen will work, but you have to cook them to death. Bring to boil, and simmer with a good pat of butter in the water for 1.5 to 2 hours. If you are trying to limit sodium, season with a little sea salt after they are in your serving bowl.
I have heard good things about Oasis Pools and Spas. Both of my sisters live in Charlotte, and they always hit that place up for BGE goodies for me. Never bought an Egg there, but they are very nice according to my sisters.
Did you use instant yeast that you just throw in with your dry ingredients, or did you use real yeast which you have to mix with water and let sit for about 15 min? Did you throw real yeast in with the dry ingredients before blooming in water?
