This probably all started because I made a comment on a thread over a year old under the Lamb category. My reply was something "that looks awesome, I know what I'm making for Easter dinner now". Had I not posted that I would have never learned fro…
Can someone explain to me why we've had snow flurries two days in a row now? I mean it's the end of March in Atlanta!! Kicking myself for not thinking of making chili tonight too.
I thought his was worthy of resurrecting for Easter. Only one or two family members like lamb so thought this would make a nice addition to ham. What wood would you guys use to smoke? Would Apple be ok? Thinking Hickory or Mesquite might be too …
Welcome to the forum, and the cult! I can see your hooked already, doesn't take long does it? Sounds like your ready for a low and slow, I would recommend starting out with a pork butt and doing pulled pork. It's a wicked easy low and slow, great…
Thank you guys for the responses. I'll probably go ahead and cook 8 pounds of beef and maybe 5 pounds of Chicken. I'm sure I will have a ton of leftovers, but I can freeze it and save the extra for a quick fajita night during the week.
My neighbor lost his front porch from his egg. However, his table had years of grease build up, and he had a bottle of Citronella Oil on the lower shelf of his egg table. I burned a few holes in my other deck when I didn't close the screen and los…
Welcome and make sure you try a Spatchcock chicken once. It quickly became my go to cook when we have company coming over. Easy to do, and very very good!
I would have problems getting the lump up to temp with the starter cubes as well. It didn't matter if I had just cleaned out the egg or not. I switched to an electric lighter and haven't had any issues since. Plus it's nice not having to worry ab…
I would love a go to thread for pizza making. We have have sub-forums for just about everything except pizza. Is there anyway to get a new sub-forum added for Pizza?
We all understand the passion when it comes to the egg. I really understand the passion of falling in love with inanimate objects. We purchased a boat last spring, and instantly fell in love with the lifestyle, so we sold our house and purchased o…
Doing two Prime Rib tomorrow, going to try the reverse sear! Any tips or tricks, or is it really as simple as pull it, get the egg to 500 and let her rip?

Or you could put a fire box in it and a woo 2 and it could be dedicated just for the wok.
I thought about trying to save it, but after I took the hinge ring off it fell apart. To many big pieces to tray and actually ho…
Well the base is glued back, now I just need to silicone the cracks. It was a pretty bad break, I was left with 5 pieces so it's not pretty, but she'll keep making contributions to egging!
I did a Mad Max Turkey last year and not only was it the best Turkey I've ever done on the egg, but the best Gravy ever! http://www.nakedwhiz.com/madmaxturkey.htm
Mad Max Turkey! Although I did a Spatchcock turkey a month ago and it was phenomenal! Just be sure to get the temp probe buried nice and deep so you can make sure it's done.
Love it! I discovered an awesome benefit to the side table design yesterday. It started raining as I was firing up the egg, so I just rolled under the upper deck and stayed dry. I would have been soaked if it was in a table.
Sorry I haven't be…
Wow! Impressive fish. Not the way I saw this thread going. I was thinking this was gonna be about a drum smoker.
+2 However, I'm seriously jealous! Not sure I would ever make it to my desk if my office was beside that view!
