Those tables are pretty pricy for a fairly basic table. you you could probably pay a lumber yard to make the cuts you need and assemble it yourself or just find a local carpenter/handyman to build it.
I always throw a cable through the hinge in the back that attaches to the house. I figure I just need to make it hard enough to retire the spur of the moment thief or at least slightly harder to steal than my neighb
I pulled the trigger on the 2" wide strips, they have them on amazon with cheaper shipping. I'll report back. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004W8HM52/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00

I only use the daisy wheel for 300 degrees or less. You don't really need it for temps over 300 degrees.
Same here. It was liberating when I realized this.
If you're a type a person, you need this. Even though I know the egg will hold pretty steady without it, I will constantly check, adjust (trying to make it perfect) and eff it up. The brand really doesn't matter, they all work, just depends what y…
I assume GD means Grill Dome and Grill Dome = Brand X. I looked into them when I got my egg, I thought they had pretty good customer service & warranty. Maybe not a lifetime warranty, but something like 20 or 30 years on the ceramic parts.
I built my table a couple of years ago and used a concrete counter for my table as well. I went with a rough look, primarily due to laziness & time restrictions - I didn't even seal it (I don't use it directly as a cutting board). Other than s…
I did some real low effort wings this weekend. Platsetter, feed up, at 300F. I dry rubbed the wings, spread them around the grate and left them for 2 hours (straight from the fridge). The skin was crispy and the meat was moist. I was surprised t…
You should check out the Grill Dome too. I didn't know about it when I bought my egg and would have considered it if I had. I think their large can use BGE large accessory.
Yeah... I don't know about mahogany for an egg table. Wood in general for a table top is always going to be somewhat problematic. Last thing I'd want is expensive wood.
I don't really think links in signatures necessarily constitutes spam. It makes for a better community. We've all seen people with 4 posts shameless pander their crappy site or online store, but 99% of the activity is from genuine long time forum …
I don't know if my approach is right or wrong, but after I get my lump going, I stir it around a bit and let it burn for another 10 or 15 mins before I toss the food on. I've never had any burnouts, so I'm sticking with this approach.
Mangria (creatied by comedia Adam Carolla)
3 Part Red Wine
1 Part Vodka
1 Part Orange Juice
Garnish with Fruit, sugar to taste.
It's actually good and it's fun to say Mangria instead of Sangria.
ATC devices like the stoker I use are the reason I have the time for slow cooks. Between a wife and a baby, there's too much going on to worry about the egg temp. The ability to leave the egg and go to the zoo it pool for several hours on a weekend…
