I use the electric and I am very happy with it. Just make sure you set a timer for about 6 minutes so you don't forget about it. I have been using it for about a year now. Easy to control the fire after it is lit.

My best friend lives in Hudsonville, about an hour from me. I have had good luck with the lump from Walmart. The brand is Royal Oak in an orange bag. Price is $6:37. They just started carrying it again for the summer. Sorry I can not help more.

I almost went with Cedar the first time around. But I thought the pine would last 3-4 years. Plus my thought was it is very soft, but maybe this will not make a difference? How long has it been? And does it still looks good?
