  • I have cooked (1), (2) and (3) 8# butts on my medium. Did not see any significant addition to the cook time. As said in the other posts, just watch the temp on your smallest piece.
  • I saw this same grill in a local store the other day "Rural King", and then saw the one in Lowes today. The only difference was the labels. Lowes has the lead label, the Rural King has a made in China label right on top. I dug thru the grill and …
  • OK, about 11-1/2 hours in, woke up this morning with the dome sitting on 230. Opened the lid for the first time to check and take a reading and the meat is sitting at 155 - 160. I am feeling pretty good about things especially since I got about 7 …
  • I used the chips tonight for the butts I put on. I also like to use them with the ribs
  • I have about 20 lbs on my medium. Been on about 4 hours and holding 230. I have not invested in the rig yet, but I like the set-up you have. Don't have the guru either, running manual.
  • The 1st pizza went on at 425 dome. Each pizza cooked about 12-15 minutes. The last pizza the dome had climbed to 440 and I closed the vents a little. In the link of the message was the steps I went thru with the replacement. I now know that my…
  • Little more info about the web site pictures. The 1 trillion on the pallets. It would take 10,000 pallets to hold that amount of money. By them being double stacked and the average size pallet is 4' x 4'. The picture is 80,000 square feet! So t…
  • I like placing it in a ziplock and placing in some boiling water to reheat. Keeps the moisture in and when you open the bag it smells like it just came off the egg again.
  • Where are you in China? I go over 2 or 3 times per year, the Shanghai-Suzhou area.
  • Nashville would work for me, and like the others have said just depending on the date.
  • My 9 year old son is the same way. The other night he walked by me and looked at the computer screen and said "AGAIN!, you are obsessed". Oh well, I guess I am and no one in the family complains when we sit down to eat.
  • I had the same problem. Drilled the hole as shown and has been fine and holding the right temperature. Be careful, just before the drill goes thru, slow it down so that you do not punch thru to hard. Mine did go thru to hard and fast and I pushed…
  • Hate to hear that, sounds like a really bad fall. I hope you had a speedy recovery.
  • so what is the word there in Ak with the resignation? Just found out about that a few hours ago. Hope the fireworks are a sight to see.
  • tonight I used 1 starter cube right in the middle. Let the fire get going and with the plate setter in the egg when I got towards 200 I started closing the vents to be able to hit and hold my mark. Right now my daisy wheel is closed and the petals…
  • Looks great, congrats. I have 2 cooking right now!
  • We have our share in the western part. It is a beautiful night out there, hardly any clouds in the sky and a light breeze with plenty of mook light.
  • What is cooking in the bamboo? So far great weather in Tennessee, alomst to bad we are needing some ran. I spent the day watering the yard and flower beds and garden. Moon shining and (2) butts just went on 3 hours ago.
  • Beer Can Chicken, got the whole family hooked on the egg.
  • 20 lbs of boston butt for Saturday with Cowboy beans, Slaw and Potato Salad. Make cook a few slabs of ribs early on Friday to hold us over. And may throw a stick of bologona on there for everyone to nibble on while we wait...
  • I have a medium also, I finally found this one that works with the grid sitting on the fire ring, but will not work with a raised grid set-up. Nothing fancy but fine for a few veggies. It would not work on a mini. http://www.amazon.com/Charcoal…
  • My picture for the profile is there and was approved. I cannot figure out how to get the picture in the left corner, like your wolf picture. I do not know about Avatar. How or where do you do that??? Nevermind! Went to the search forum fo…
  • Looks Great! We love pizzas off the egg and have not thought about doing calzones. Something else to put on the things to do list. We did quesdilla's (spelling?) a while back and they turned out awesome, especially filled with some chicken cooked…
  • Susan, I was doing the same thing that you did. Not adding enough lump. I could not hold a high temp for very long and even lost my fire. Now I fill it up. It is amzing how fast the fire will go out when you shut it down and still have enough l…
  • My family seems to like them best when I cook them 350-400 on a raised grid. Top closed 1 or 2 flips. Cooking them slower with top down seems to give them that good taste. When I cooked them hotter on a low grid they got done real quick and did n…
  • I agree, I have heard everyone praise this stuff so much that I placed my order on Monday and they promised that it would be here before the weekend. Can not wait to try this out. I did the gift pack 4 and went with the Dizzy Dust, Cow Lick, Ragin…
  • The pad will be cheaper for sure. I have laid around 2,000 pavers aroound my house, most on a walkway that is "Y" shape going to my shed. My mistake was that assuming our hard clay ground would be enough to bypass the gravel sub-base. In hindsigh…

  • Check with a local sawmill to see what you can get the lumber for. I bought mine at a sawmill had them cut it down to size. It was still rough but nothing so bad that a good sanding could not take care of.
  • Tennisbum, I have found that our local grocery carries a generic "Best Choice" Lump that is pacaked by Royal Oak. Small bags, but it works just fine and at a good price.
