@4runner yes it is in my garage...lol no real reason for the foil other then easier clean up. I only use the temp probe to monitor grate temp. Other then that I will use my thermopen to temp the meat.

What if you simply had a t-bar with a cable attached and a hook on the end. Just place the T across the top of the Egg and run the cable down as low or as high as you like. Hang your bird there. Might work with the SS chimney top anyway.
What if you completed you half arch into a full one...but kind of flat across a section of the top. Could you then hang 2 chickens? Cool looking hanging device you made. Wish I were crafty like that. Great looking bird too.
@cazzy lol, now that was interesting, he not only scraped the flavor away so unceremoniously, but let's start with dragging it all over the newsprint as well...Bleccchhh. I think I will go with Franklins slicing method.. seems sim…

Thanks! In my humble opinion that is your whole problem! The gasket in the bottom like that is not going to get compressed when pushed down tight. Scroll back up this thread and see how I placed my gask…
Glad you got your egg back in action. After the brisket camp I'm going to install Kamado Joe bands and hinges on my large egg. Congratulations and enjoy!!
Thanks. You know your food will not 'taste right. :)
In working with the BGE warranty group I asked when the MiniMax would ship....thinking they guy would be a bit "loose with the tongue"......no avail. Got the standard corp line of, "shipping soon". Bastages.
All is right with the world again. Installed my new hinge assembly today, and I could tell from the first lift of the dome this hinge is much smoother than my old one. My old one had to have had some issue. My dome used to be much more difficult to …
