Looks like you've had some great advice already but i'll chime-in with the keep it simple method of indirect cook at 350 using a mild wood for smoke i.e. apple/cherry/alder.
As far as preping the bird I wash it off and dry completely. Spray lightl…
I would be willing to bet anything you are experiencing a very common problem with egger's trying to grill and getting a "chemical" or "strong smoke" taste that no one likes. The problem is the smoke being trapped inside the egg from the fat and gr…
That stuff is no joke. Hats off to you two for taking that as well as you did. I bought it in Galena illinois at the Galena Canning Company for anyone wanting some of there own.
I've used a vertical rack for 6 slabs of BB ribs as well as the adjustable rig for 6 slabs horizontal style. Rib rack only shows 4 but I do 6 with no trouble.
Turkey was a fresh bone-in breast that we cooked indirect on the small egg at 350-375 range for about 2.5-3 hours. Only seasoning used, I believe, was tsunami spin.
Let us know how the cooks turn-out!
P.S. If theres no pictures it didn't happen…
I did make the pineapple anglefood cake but my brother made the turkey. Cake is as simple as a can of crushed pineapple (un-drained) mixed with one box of angle food cake mix. Bake per the box directions.
The turkey had a hobenaro (sp?) apricot s…
Sorry to hear such a scary story but also glad to hear no one was injured.
I posted about being a new Mac owner last month and still couldn't be happier with my decision. Fantastic computer.

I wish we would be eating at my house as I would do the "Max Turkey" myself but as is I put the bird on about an hour ago and need to leave here by noon for the in-laws.
Keep us posted Ron!
I bought the CyberQ for use with a large and small egg but haven't had the chance to order a small fan as i'm really leaning toward another large as I just don't use the small for much low and slow cooking.
It is a great tool and recommend it for a…
Lots of good advice already mentioned and i'll second the fact that wicked good is fantastic for low and slow cooks but requires ALOT longer burn time to get clean smoke. Several of my friends, and myself, only use it for all nighters and use GFS R…
I recently bought a Shun myself and have been happy with it so far but i'm sure any of the better known brands are good.
The Shun sold me on the fact you can ship it to them for free sharpening whenever you like. Nice option for your higher end Ja…

Thanks for the input and advice. I'll have to look into the Toro 4 cycle engine and where it's being made and what the reviews are for it.
As for Honda, I really didn't have it on my radar as I haven't seen any local for sale. Thanks for the head…
That looks nearly identical to the one i'm looking at only they now (maybe always?) offer it in 4 cycle as well as 2 cycle. I'm sure both work fantastic but leaning toward the 4 cycle here just for ease of use without mixing fuel and such (hopefull…
Thanks for all the advice and comments. The new Imac's come with the "Magic Mouse" and we are really enjoying it so far. Give it a try or atleast check it out at the online site. Very nice indeed with bluetooth technology so no extra USB's being…
