My lump comes in a reusable bag so I just keep it there. I don't leave it outdoors though, either in the garage or the shed works for me.
If I switch it to containers when I buy it I would need 40 to 60 containers to hold it all.
FWIW the last time I replaced my gasket I did it while the egg was still warm and 95% of the gunk came off with a scrapper with almost no effort. I just gave it a quick brush after scraping then some acetone and I was good to go.

I have tried to upload the sheet that shows all the choices they have but everytime I do I get blocked for approval. I will find a way!

You got very lucky. Thank God everything and everyone are alright.
BTW, is there charring under the base of the egg also? From the
pictures it look like something was happening from underneath your egg
before this mishap. I think I am going to …
I plan on trying this method for my next brisket. The last one I did was a little dry and after spending all that money and time this looks like it might make things a little easier. BTW This is why I WELCOME seeing old threads come back from time t…

I agree with getting a PID. I cook over night and never worry about the egg getting too hot or too cold. When I do it the daisy wheel is shut too so in your case the snow would not have been an issue. As you know there are t…
I just don't want to ruin anyone else's meal if that ever got out on the internet. :-& All kidding aside I always check permissions before I install anything, you would be suprised what some of these apps look at.
I am about to check it out but could you explain why the app is allowed to take pictures without my conformation? I haven't tried it yet and maybe if I had I would already understand. "Hardware controlstake pictures and videosAllows the app to take …
I have just about everything Tom sells for my two large BGE's and a simular homemade raised grid like flemster I made with a sliding rack from Tom. I use them all but if I had to do it again I would skip the PSwoo3 and just get the spider and the PS…

I have the V3880. Works very well. However, if I were to replace it, I think I would buy the Game Saver. That one looks easier to use and a little more versatile. For example, that one would allow you to use double sealing.…

I ordered one for me and one for my big brother. He's a new Egghead.
+1Nice gift to yourself, do you have a sister that needs to marry?
They may take a little longer but you won't be able to tell the
difference between cooking one ham or two. To may variables. When ever I
cook a large chunk of meat I always allow a little extra time. Every so
often you can have problems stabil…

I believe that coupon is for in store purchases only. You may have a tough time using it when ordering online and I doubt the charcoal will get there by Friday. Look around for a coupon that can be used on line.

This question is impossible to answer with out knowing what temperature you plan to cook your turkey and how much it weighs. If in question just fill to the top of the fire ring.
I like that better then my 3 pennies in each corner idea. Here is an Amazon link for anyone interested.

Try scraping it off while it is still warm. The last one I did after a clean burn and the gasket came off and left almost no residue. I did use acetone in case there was any grease on the ceramics.

You can get one used 4 hours as a demo at an EggFest WITH A WARRANTY for less. And he could even cook on it for those hours if he wanted to.
Also you can try mixing in the wood chips thru out the lump before you light it. Personally I use wood chunks instead of chips. Four nice chunks will give me enough smoke flavor without having to add more during the cook.

I'm in need of the adjustable rig. I have the BGE platesetter that came with my egg. Will the AR sit on top of the platesetter like the BGE rack does now?
No, you can't use the platesetter with the adjustible rig. I had one for th…
I used that recipe and it was my best dough yet. I'm not sure yet if it was the food processor or the "00" flour but the dough had a good consistency and was easy to stretch. Your pies look great, and it certainly looks like the little ones enjoyed …
I ate off of a friends egg for a couple of years and always liked the way everything he cooked came out. Then one day he made a prime rib roast that was as good as a place near me which was the only place I could eat steak away from home. At that po…
I won't be long now until another egg is in your sights. As far as the rib rack, the only thing I can think of to make the BGE one better is make it out of stainless steel.
