Here are some of our new favorite non-beef burgers: Italian Turkey Burger, Grilled Tuna Burger and Goat Cheese Portobello Burger. You’ll want to perfect these before football season starts up in a few weeks! It's time to think about getting out to one of the many #EGGfests around the country - see a list here

  • Nice pics, sure wish I was there to do a little tasting. Do you use Ozarka lump. (I think I spelled it right)
  • You are right about that, I have gone to a high fat low carb diet and anything I used to fry gets cooked on the grill. My cholesterol went from a little over 200 to 136 and I have lost 20lbs.

  • DynaGreaseball, I have some pics of some wings and boston butt but haven't been able to post. Life really gets in the way some times you know.

  • I'm a fairly new XL owner myself. If you put the plate setter on top of the fire ring and then set the grill on top of that you only have 1/2" between the two. I haven't found a drip pan that shallow yet but when I do it will defiantly restrict air…
  • Salad, rice and gravy, brussel sprouts with cheese sauce. I'm into high fat low carbs.
  • Yes I flamed the forum and WMK hasn't yanked it.
  • I love sour dough, had a starter for years. Sure would like to try a piece of yours. Cut a slice butter it up and let us know how it taste.
  • I seem to remember reading that on the XL BGE you run a grave risk of frying your gasket at high temps with the plate setter in. I sort of forgot that piece of advice but I think I dodged a bullet. I guess you would have to place the plate setter …
  • It's in his 450 Fiery Recipes book. If you can't find it let me know. TBullard1@comcast.net.
  • I have called Ozark Oak and you can buy it by the pallet full and have it shipped to you. You will have to work out the shipping arrangements. A pallet full is 64 bags and cost $206.60. Find 3 or 4 egg heads in your area and spit it up. I am prob…
  • Maybe I should compile a recipe book for wings.

  • I have and XL and bought it based on the idea that it is hard to have to much grill space. The more you put on the grill the easier it is to move stuff around if you have a little space left over. However, and I've never used any other size but I t…
  • Actually if you find the recipe for Magic Dust in one of the eggfest books on naked whiz site and just liberally coat the wings with magic dust and cook them the way you like them they will be pretty good.

  • Naked wiz has lots of downloadable recipes. http://www.nakedwhiz.com/ceramic.htm Lots of good stuff here. Steven Raichlen's 425 Fiery Recipes has a couple of nice wing recipes. Also Dr BBQ's Road Trip has one for Bloody Mary wings which is dif…
  • Must be a deer hunter. B)
  • The only lump I have used is BGE and Natural Glow what do you like? I just want to find a high quality product and try to buy bulk but I don't really know what to zero in on yet. I wonder if the Naked Wiz could weigh in on this? I'm thinking he wan…
  • I just drank a few of those pecan ale's and they sure are good but I didn't have the steak to go along with it. I have a brother that lives in N.O. and it's just a 3 hour drive, maybe I could spend a weekend with him sometime and pay you a visit.…
  • Yeah I know I'm just loving this forum and my egg. You guys will have to suffer through my post and my pics because I plan on doing a lot more. My quest is to be the best backyard bbq griller in this here neck of the woods. I am already thinking …

  • Sorry but after a few bottles of wine I become an idiot. I clicked the e-mail & IM link not the IMG code link now it works fine. But I forgot to reduce the size of the pic again. I'm going to pour one more glass and reflect on this ep…
