  • @GoooDawgs sounds like you want the xl rig with 17.5 stone set-up in the brisket video.  I'll put that set up against any other for a simple one grid, indirect cooks when it comes to lump access, airflow and grid position......nothing matches it. w…
  • @Legume no real way to use xl woo and xl rig without the xl grid.  you can use the 16x20 oval grid on the lower notches of the rig and grill on it, not using the xl grid to cook.
  • @Biggreenpharmacist sorry,  I could put up the other half dozen things or so the spider does.........lol t
  • it's the 15" half stone for the spider, if you go that route.
  • the 16" stone will fit across the legs.  It's not the most stable but as long as you don't move the PSWoo, it should be ok.  If you prefer, we offer a kite shape platform piece that creates a stable surface for holding a half stone and the oval ston…
  • if you have the xl rig two grid setup, you can spatchcock the turkey and put it up top.  it should fit ok.   ribs below on two racks - sliding grid in middle of the rig and xl grid on the woo or platesetter.  could probably fit some sausage links …
  • I like the new look.  chicky looks good. if you like, a 15" half stone fits the spider.  go half direct and half indirect while spinning.   easier to control the temp on the bird as it spins.   t
  • I got the flashback munchies (bong) listening to the songs, great album. wok cook fixed the munchies....... t
  • can't wait for Brady to see it..........lol t
  • dougcrann said: ,,,,,,,,Have you looked at Louisiana Pellet Grills? Or Rec Tec? ... I decided on the LG series of Louisiana Pellet Grills for our store.  Couple reason why.    - no smoke stack, so it doesn't look like a smoker in the bac…
  • that stuff if fantastic on brisket.  rub it in, right after a Worcestershire drizzle coarse grind for a big hunk of meat. t
  • be careful with vertical spacing.  on the kjoe divide and conquer there really isn't enough room between top and bottom grids to use a full grid below.  it's only about 3-1/2" between grids.  for high heat (blackening steaks) cast iron griddles wor…
  • you should be fine on burn times.    when I had my medium I would take a tape  measure to the grocery store to make sure the briskets fit........got some strange looks now and then for some reason...... t
  • @fishlessman,     nice legs...........lol t
  • congrats, it is a great feeling.   I've had one, about 190 yard par three.   Guys on the green told me I hit the pin on a 310 yard par 4.  Glad that one did not go in,  full field at a mens' golf association tourney.............that would have bee…
  • @SmokingPiney check the video on the lump burn and adding a chuck,  If you like, move the stone up the notches to increase access to the lump.   I'll put this set-up against any other available on the market for a simple, one grid, indirect cook …

  • do this set up with the xl rig:   -  xl rig on the fire ring;   - 17.5" stone with crossbars on either one of the lower rig notches;   - 20" round or 16"x20" oval grid on top of the rig. you won't have to touch a thing.  you can add wood anytime y…

  • I recommend a jump pack to run it. something like this. http://www.harborfreight.com/automotive-motorcycle/battery/3-in-1-portable-power-pack-with-jump-starter-62306.html
  • if you can cook a butt, you can cook a brisket. basically the same cook, except for rub and maybe type of smoke.   t

  • I'd go look at that pellet grill before you buy it.  At 219 sq. in. of cooking area, it can come across as surprisingly small for a pellet pusher.   As a reference, the large egg is approx, 260 sq. in. I get mobile but remember, you gotta plug into…
  • @SGH  Grilla's Kong Ceramic Grill is the same as Dansons' (Louisiana Grills) Pit Boss Ceramic Grill except the Kong's warranty is only 4 years.  I'd never buy a ceramic grill with only a 4 year warranty over the internet. t

  • alynd said: for what it's worth, BGE outsells KJ closer to 2:1 than 4:1 as previously stated.   @alynd      One with Costco, one without Costco t
  • the xl egg is the best two zone ceramic grill on the market.   the large lump grate, almost 18" dia. provides a greater area for lump at a consistent depth.  So, when you sear a steak or burger, it's the same temps across the grid.  No fading grill…
  • We've been working with BJ's for a couple months.  He is currently working on a website to increase distribution across the great white north.   He is carrying more than just CGS, also - smokeware, kickash, dizzy pig and bge. t
