It feels as though we’ve waited forever for college football to start, and finally the wait is over! Check out our tailgating page for recipes that are sure to become fan favorites. As an added bonus, the day before Labor Day is National Bacon Day and we don’t know about you, but we like putting bacon on anything and everything, so we’ll definitely be celebrating that. It's time to think about getting out to one of the many #EGGfests around the country - see a list here

  • Doug, Great work. My wife was at a conference in Toronto last week and I told her I wouldn't let her back in the house without 4 bottles of La Bomba. After the first taste I knew 4 bottles would not last long. Please add me to the list for one…
  • I wouldn't worry. Many of us run on what is left of our original gaskets and do just fine (I'm going on 6 years). That having been said, in direct answer to your question, no, BGE does not offer a magic solution to the gasket problem. It's a repl…

  • Max, Tell Sydney we will rev up the vibe machine tomorrow around 8am Eastern. We'll keep it pumping until we see your post tomorrow afternoon. Here's hoping this is her last hurdle. R & G

  • You mentioned that you want to accent the flavor of the shrimp. I suggest thinking Asian. Blend your cream cheese with some shrimp paste purchased at your local Asian market. (Thanks, Nature Boy, for showing me at Waldorf that blending herb…
  • Kim, We love mussels and often have leftovers. Do one of our favorites - seafood pizza. Add a few shrimp, a scallop or two, and if you are into anchovies as we are, a few of those. Lots of fresh herbs, red onion, and your choice of cheeses (f…
  • Definitely sub. We live in a community of about 500 homes that are around 25 years old, so trees are mature. All on +/- 2 acres with lots of ponds, lakes and open spaces in between. Seven miles to all the shopping we need, 60 minutes by train to Chi…
  • Nice photos, Bob! I'm glad you thought to take them and share them with us. Gloria and I want to give a BIG 'Thank You' to Nancy and her team of helpers for putting on the first Chicagoland Eggfest! Yup, it was wet, but it was fun! W…
  • You live in a nice part of the world. My wife and I used to travel to Flensburg for business and stay at the Alter Meierhof, a very pretty place with great food. It still might be worth you time to give them a call. They are the importer for Euro…
  • Hello Don Marco, and welcome. I want to let you know that on 13 September there will be the 2nd annual Big Green Egg-Member Party in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands. You might be able to purchase an Egg at this event. In the US the Eggs used during a…
  • My kinda pizza! ( and dinner is still an hour away! )
  • I just remembered that a year or so ago Celtic Wolf and I had a conversation or two using Skype. Since he is in the IT industry and uses Skype, perhaps he could give us an authoritative answer to the security issue.
  • A close friend in Sydney, Australia, introduced me to Skype a few years ago. We've been communicating on it ever since. We also use Skype to talk with my wife's relatives in the Netherlands. My friend is a commercial properties developer and has …
  • A round kiln shelf makes a great pizza/bread stone for the small. New Mexico Clay makes one that is 10" in diameter and 3/8" thick (www.nmclay.com part# KS10R). I bought my small before a plate setter was available for it, and instead purchased C…
  • Yes. Mine was out of warranty when it acted up. They were wonderful. I don't recall the name of the woman who handles repair, but I can say I had one of my better interactions with a retailer. I think my repair was $10 plus shipping. Tha…
  • Call and ask Gary at Bjorkman's Ace Hardware in McHenry. He really expanded his BGE accessories and all sorts of rubs, sauces, lump, smoking woods, etc. this year. Last time I was in Backyard Barbecue in Wilmette, which was last season, Dan &…
