  • Any one have experience with the "Meat Rub"....I got it from an Academy sports store and this is the only Rufus Teague rub.
  • Just got one for fathers day....LOVE IT!!  Use it a LOT!
  • Congrats....GO HEELS!
  • I just ran into the same problem.  My father-in-law has a Treager.  It is a full size model and I did a 8 hour cook without refilling.  Surely you could do at least half of that with the Jr.  Other than that one component they are fool proof.  Turne…
  • Agree,....Almost like cheating. I get off at 5 and live 10 mins from work.  When i got off internal was 199.  It was perfect timing!!
  • Thanks guys.  I have a couple of several cast iron skillets and use them. Question:  I love the look of that kettle Q.  What stainless sear meat as good as cast iron?  What would be +/-?  Ive always been a cast iron fan - this is more hibachi st…
  • It's not bad at all!!  Mine was more complicated than it should have been because I had the fitment issue but even with that it was nothing hard about it.  Just a little more time consuming.
  • I'm sorry I don't have pictures guys but this was the best brisket I have ever cooked.  Cooked from 8 last night to 10 this morning. Only other question I have is:  On the flat it was the best I've done - it was tender and juicy.....for about 5 min…
  • Thanks guys - Keep the suggestions and tips coming!
  • When you say...."Point may finish a little later".....I agree but you have to pull it all at the same time so it's ok to pull when flat is tender and point will be ok?
  • Nothing has been done flavor wise.  This is the type of breast that would be sliced for sandwiches in a deli.  It just hasn't been sliced yet.
  • Hate to say it....Bama Too much on the D line.
  • Yes. Just shut it off. Once it went back down to 225 the temp never exceeded 235 again. Mostly stayed around 230. I consider that a success. I also agree that a huge piece of meat will help stabilize things a bit. Thanks guys for everything and whe…
  • Update: back To 235. Doesn't seem to take much fan to raise temp.  Not sure how close this will keep you to set temp? 5-10 degrees?
  • Update: back down to 225. Fan starting to kick in again. Let's see if it holds!
  • Just talked to Ozzie _Issac and he helped me out a lot. Super nice guy. So great to have guys like this on the forum.  Thanks again brother!!!
  • Down to 247 now. Seems to be on fall. Maybe it's learning my cooker.  Is it capable of keeping egg at 225. Best I can do manually is 235-240
  • I have daisy open as  least add possible.  What do you mean by exhaust?
  • Exhaust? I don't have gasket leak. Fan runs on and off. Pulsing guess you would say. Seems like it would not run at ask if temp has over shot
  • I went with the flame boss 200 Wi-Fi. Found new one on eBay for 265. That is a good price and I really like the ability to keep track on my phone when I'm away.  I'll let you guys know how it works.  Any of you guys that have one already please gi…
  • Dobie said: You need the CyberQ wifi unit I have heard some not so good stories on hooking up wifi on that unit? Is the Flame Boss easier?
  • Any more have experience with Flame Boss 200....?
  • Can you taste to smoke it the eggs? What temp you smoke at?
  • stompbox said: I love that it takes it to your last read reply.  I agree.  It's not doing it anymore.  It starts at the bottom every time.  Now I have to scroll up.  Even on a brand new post.
  • Whew, I great game but I had trouble falling asleep after that one.  Heels just threw it away down the stretch.  Had you told me we could have taken Dook to OT with the game Paige played I would have thought you were crazy.  If you are truly caught …
  • I totally agree @Ozzie_Isaac I cant stand the little pieces.  Air flow not as good and you lose so much.  Rockwood is usually so good at have a bag full of medium size pieces with very little waste.  I was surprised to see pieces this big that's why…
  • Save them for the low and slows Good idea!!
  • These were huge. I'll have to busr them up. It was like three pieces of firewood.
  • @tarheelmatt - we lost a great one! RIP Dean Smith!
  • I've had several small rocks in my Rockwood - its still my preferred brand.  Great stuff IMO.
