  • Looks great!  Why have I never seen your bottle opener attached to your Egg?  Awesome idea!

  • Time to grab out torches and pitchforks, right?
  • The domain name expired.  Someone forgot to renew!
  • Only guideline you'll need is to be sure to keep an adult beverage near the Egg at all times.
  • Test it in boiling water if you're really curious.  I guess it's a good idea to proof your testing tools, even if they are certified calibrated.

  • I got my Egg a few weeks ago, but I'm an experienced smoker/griller.  I've used everything from a kettle to a side firebox. The biggest hurdle I had in my first week or two of using the Egg is really understanding getting the charcoal lit and up t…

  • You're both wrong!  Orange is BY FAR the fastest.  It's so fast it needs to be orange as a warning label!

  • Welcome to the party!
  • It's pretty sad that they don't care that you don't like their charcoal.  No one likes a company that doesn't care about their customers.  I'll definitely stop trying to find WG.  It doesn't make sense to support a company that doesn't care. Thank…

  • Sorry for the accident.  I can certainly feel your pain.  This is definitely a good lesson to us all, though.  An empty Egg, especially not on a nest or table, is an unstable thing, especially with the lid up.  I've noticed this myself.  Next time I…
  • I could really go for a few Dale's right now! Welcome aboard!
  • Thanks for the advice Cen-Tex!  I'll just need to suck it up and start hitting them hard.
  • Briskets are my Achilles heel.  I need to do more of them to get better results, but I struggle with the idea of spending a fair bit of money to produce mediocre results.  It's a really bad infinite loop... :( Good luck!  I too love to start out m…
  • I'll be packing up my large and taking it to our family lake house for the weekend.  I'm planning on 2 butts for Sunday as well as focaccia bread based off ClayQ's presentation at the GA Mountain Eggfest.  I'm sure we'll be Egging it up the rest of …
  • We've had a few very sudden pop-up monsoons this past week.  I was grilling, the sun was out...suddenly the bottom dropped out.  Big fat rain as Forrest Gump says.  The Egg didn't skip a beat.  I'm pretty sure it didn't drop a degree in temp.
  • fishlessman You have got to stop posting that picture.  It makes me cringe every time!  )
  • daffy1909 I've been cooking/grilling/smoking for probably 8+ years now.  This is just my first time on my Egg.  I've been able to turn out decent results on far inferior equipment, so I'm hoping that once I get used to my Egg, my cooking quality wil…
  • New Egger here as well.  Got mine this weekend, too.  I'm not new to grilling/smoking though.  As with all grills and smokers, you really need to learn how the Egg works.  I found that out Sunday.  I know how the Egg works in theory, but practice is…
  • Thanks everyone!  I'm excited to finally be able to take part in this community! Scottborasjr I realized I should have foiled the PS or used a drip pan a few minutes into the cook.  Definitely will do that in the future.  I'm not used to using a d…
  • TexanOfTheNorth Thanks!  Like I said, she stole my heart from day 1.  I'm a proud daddy! Eggcelsior Yep!  The Yuengling was left over from Friday night at my wife's uncle's mountain cabin and the Eggfest on Saturday.  It's my go-to when I prefer q…
