yup! Cook them just like you would a beef steak, maybe a little more rare than you would a beef steak but pretty much the same way!!
-
Try using them for fajitas! Darn tasty!

What BigA said.DO NOT go above Rare/Medium Rare.I would need to know eggzactly what cuts they were to offer other advice.I'm HOPING it is tenderloin/backstrap.
-
BINGO!!
-
your right steaks cut from tenderloin. thanks for help.

Deer tenderloin? Those things are terrible, you should just send them down here to me and I will gladly dispose of them for you. Honestly, they are unfit to eat and I will take them off your hands.
I agree with the above, a little S&P and cook 'em rare to med. rare at the most. Some of the finest meat on this earth.

Most importantly!!!!!
They cook super fast since they are pretty much fat free, so don't wonder off with them on the grill. -
I'm partial to a 30min.soy/bourbon bath...wrap'em in bacon and cook it till just med. rare- 450F 4 min per side (depending on thickness). I usually cook mine whole... Don't ferget to bourbon yo self up a bit too..

i cut slices from the backstraps across the grain about .75 inches thick.... heat a frying pan really hot.... cook 'em to rare or just a ch over....... remove the meat, deglaze the pan with some brandy or red wine..... pour a bit of heavy cream in with the reduction of brown bits and reduce a little more, stirring constantly.... then pour the dark cream sauce of the medallions of venision.... it will be the second best thing you ever ate...!...... i like a lot of fresh black pepper on the meat before i cook it. thanks! ray
