Below are the photos of what I did to make the adapter permanent
You will need to use JB Weld between the plates to keep it secure. Also the screen will have to go.IMG_0321.jpgIMG_0322.jpg[/imgIMG_0322.jpgIMG_0323.jpg[/imgIMG_0324.jpgIMG_0326.jpg

  • Good idea, but where does the Rye factor in?

Good adaptation but I guess I don't understand why the screen has to go. That is the standard outside door isn't it? And if that is outside the screen, I don't see how/why the screen would have to go since everthing you've done goes to the outside. Also, if you had a hand riveter wouldn't that work as well as JB? Just thinking... Men never can leave well enough alone you know!
  • The Rye inparts patients.
  • With the adapter attached the screen will not be able to by pass it.
I used JB to keep from having the rivet head on the inside thinking it might rub.
Plus the JB forms an air tight seal

The screen goes on the inside not the outside so what Kricks meant stands correct. BTW I assume you have some type of plug to cork that adapter when not wanted.
