With Thanksgiving just around the corner our thoughts naturally turn to the traditional turkey dinner. I have been doing fried now for several years but think it will have to be "egged" this year. Does the same temps, ie..160 breast, hold true for turkey? Any idea of time/lb?

    Golffer,

Turkey is great on the egg -- one of my favourites. Mad Max is the resident expert and you can find his method on the Naked Whiz's web site.

Remember that your egg is just an oven [a very nice and very expensive oven, but still, just an oven] so you can use basically the same directions from your grandma's cookbook or the directions printed on the birds package as far as times and temp for guidlines.
get your dome temp about 25degreesw hotter than your oven roasting directions call for. :)

Yes, 165 in the breast and 180 in the thighs. :)
