I was at my neighborhood Ace Hardware today (on Holcomb Bridge Road in Norcross,Ga) and they were having a BGE demo sale ... there were a half dozen or so larges with ashes in them ... the thing is, they never have had one that was used before, and I have never seen one there with smoke coming out of it ... so, I asked if they had come from the Eggtoberfest and the reply was yes ... they were putting a sold sign on one of them as I left

What are they asking for them?
  • Rod ... I didn't pay much attention since I wasn't interested in another one, but I think they were $669.00 ... don't know what all was included but they were all in nests

One of the staff told me that all of the Eggs were pre-sold at the event and from the line of cars waiting to pick them up after, I didn't doubt him. Sounds as though a few must have slipped through. For anyone interested, it is a good deal. We picked up a medium demo after the event that had never had a fire in it!

I called this morning and they are $699 and it is the "starter kit"- ash tool, grill gripper, bag of charcoal, nest.

Thanks for posting- my father in law might be picking one up.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

  • When I was leaving the event at 7:30 am I noticed a egg that was missing the lid sitting next to the trash can. I think it must have been broken when they were loading them the night before. I walked around in the event to see if I could find someone walking around to see what they were going to do with it but no one was stirring around. I happen to have an extra lid so it would have worked out perfectly. I kicked myself wandering what they did with it.

Wow. So I could have driven 1 hour to Lawrenceville from my house and still saved myself 1 hour and 20 minutes in line at AMS. Coulda shoulda woulda.
