Well I had some mozzarella, roasted red peppers and pesto left over from the pizza Friday night so I decided to give those ingredients a try on a burger. First I seasoned the burgers with EVO DP Raising the Steak and Dizzy Dust and cooked them to medium. Then I shut the egg down and placed the buns on the egg with the pesto spread on the top laid, on the roasted red peppers and covered with a slice of Mozzarella. Closed the lid to let'em toast and have the mozzarella melt. Topped the burger off with a little merlot wine sauce and was good to go. Served with green beans and mac & cheese.

Was pretty tasty, got to work on the toasting of the buns with this type of burger. The mozzarella seems to melt a little slower so you tend to leave it on a little longer which can lead to over toasting the bun. Oh well, it can be tweaked next time.

put the moz on the burger, not on the bun.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Looks delicious....you may want to try hiding a slice of cheese in the burger next time. I like gruyere, but I'm sure the mozzarella would be good too. ;)

Cheese on the bun, cheese on the burger, no worries because in the end we have a great tasting cheeseburger. Looks great and is making me Hungry :cheer:
