With biscotto season upon us, I cranked out the first batch last night for this morning’s festivities. This version included semi-sweet chocolate chips, cinnamon & walnuts along with Bacardi Torched Cherry Rum for the liquid.
The dry ingredients along with the melted chocolate:
Pour in the booze:
The mixed dough:
Rolled out, a little sugar sprinkled on top & ready for the egg (or oven in this case, I’ve been battling a terrible cold so no interest in going outside):
After the first bake, sliced & placed on the grid for bake number two:
Add caffeine & we have ignition:
Splash-down:
For the newer folks that may want the entire format, here’s the original link with complete instructions:

Mornin Zip. Sorry to hear about you having a cold, too soon to get that stuff. You sure it's not a hangover?
Hey thanks for the how-to link. This will be my excuse to make your wonderful biscotti. I'm drinking java right now and what's missing.....? Perfect to hand out during the holidays. Keep the biscotti recipes coming and a how-to on a good cup of joe would be welcome as well. -

That looks perfect! A diabetics dream come true.

 , now that's not a bad idea. It is certainly do-able, remember the bombascotti & the bomba scones with pepperoni & cheese? I'll have to think on it for a while, something will come to mind. How was the fest buddy, man I wish I was there to hang out with you guys but I just couldn't swing it - hopefully next yearhappy in the hut

Those look great. Any chance you want to share the recipe and suggest a good desert wine to dip them in.

Thanks, Marc; looks so delicious...we got a few varities of some nice loose tea when we were in Montreal last weekend - thinking it'd be good with that as well. I combined your two posts and added it to my recipes...thanks always for such detailed posts. Can't wait to try!

I was going to call earlier but I seemed to have misplaced your number. Id appreciate it if you would email it to me again.
We all missed seeing you at the fest! -
Zippy I have been told that biscotti ships well. Will be glad to help with that test by providing my address and testing at this end.
Anything for a fellow eggfriendSalado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.
