Don Julio
in no particular order
However, I've had several in Mexico that can't be found here in the US or I simply don't know or remember the name of. -
Same here. I tried some tekillya in Mexico that was to dye for. Figured I could buy it when I get back home and none to be found. I'm sipping some stuff right now that is to die for. There's a lot of "crap" going on in Mexico, but between the food and tequila, it can't be beat.

Herradura Reposado is the one I always have at home or anytime I go to a restaurant. I drink it straight, no lime, no sangrita,no salt, if I want a chaser i'd normally ask for a diet coke, but drink them separately.Nothing like tasting all the flavours present in a good tequila aged in oak barrels, a dark yellow golden colour and an intense earthy & floral aroma to the nose. Love the taste almost fruitlike & spicy. No I'm not a Herradura shareholder

anejo, reposada...
i think three G's was the first premium tequila i tried, and it was fantastic. if i am sipping it, it's anejo or reposada. i'd be lying if i said i preferred one manufacturer over the other.ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante -
years ago, we would go to Cinco de Mayo in Laredo at the La Posada and the old man Sauza was always there. We got to be friends with him and every year he would send us a case of Comemrativo and taught us to put it in freezer and pour like syrup. We always drank it like that unless using it in mixed drinks or our "top shelf" chili. He was a very interesting gentleman and could tell some stories. At that time,he was about 80 but going strong and this was in late 70's. Always had an armed bodyguard with him even on U.S. side of border. Don't know which son took over as Patron of Sauza but it has always been a family business.

Runs close to $100 a bottle but it's the smoothest you can find.
