remember the other day, many of us were talking about ways to get a large turkey, in roasting pan, into the egg with a heat barrier? . .well, i just finished doing a test fit. .. [p]i put in my plate setter inverted, with some of those green bge 'feet', then put the pan in there with a basketball to replicate the turkey. . .everything fit great, with plenty of room to close the dome. .. i just bought a 20 pounder, and i'm comfortable with how its going to fit. ..and by having the pan sitting on the green feet, there will be airflow between the heat barrier (the plate setter) and the bottom of the pan, just like in an oven, therefor, i should be able to avoid any problems of the juices burning/scorching in the bottom of the roasting pan. . .[p]here is the plate setter w/ feet
DSCN0625.jpg[p]here is the roasting pan resting on the feet . [p]DSCN0626.jpg[p]and here is the 'turkey' in the pan. ..looks yummy doesn't it?? heee[p]DSCN0627.jpg
