I'm currently in the middle of my largest butt cook right now, for a wedding reception today at 2PM. I went to Sams and picked up two cases of Smithfield butts. One weighing in at 57.4 pounds, and the other 54.5 pounds. Somehow I managed to get them all in my refrigerator for the two day wait. I got all of them out yesterday evening around four and with the help of triehle, I managed to get them all rubbed and injected. Earlier in the day I had already cleaned out the eggs (2 large and one medium) and loaded all three with Wicked Good. Im using an adjustable rig in both larges and a platesetter in the medium. Wound up getting 6 on one large, 7 on the other large, and three on the medium for a total of 16 butts. I'm using a BBQ Guru on one of the larges and a Stoker on the other. The medium is flying in manual. They are doing pretty good right now, but I can tell I'm going to have a few that needs the foil treatment. I got about 5 hours of sleep last night, getting up every two hours to check things out. I usualy don't get up when I'm only cooking a couple, but 16 butts and a wedding of 250 people has me a little on edge :ermm: Over all Im happy with the way the night went, but I'm sure I wouldn't want to cook this big all the time like some on here do. Thanks a bunch triehle! I would be way behind if you hadn't made it. Also a big Thank You to Crimsongator for hooking me up with a 2" fire ring and some tips. Hope everyone has a good day! Here's the proof!

Hope you have help pulling them

What a project you have going there. I'll bet the neighborhood was out hunting down where the wonderful aroma was coming from.
On the solo egg, you could have used a probe or two off of the stoker to monitor the pit or one of the butts.
Good luck on the reception & let us know how it turns out.

Man, if this doesn't get you into Bubba Tim's club, nuthin' will. :woohoo:

Holy Bat $hit Rolling Egg! That there is a HEAP of pork butt. I do think that is close to, if not the record, for two Large Eggs with 13 butts. I know Pete has done some huge pork butts cooks when he cooks for the troops, but this does warrant a BTCMD Award for sure.
Please send me a pic that represents your cook and I will post it on the Hall Of Flame on Bubbatim.com. Please include your mailing address so I can send you your award pin. Congrats again on a HUGE cook. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:SEE YOU IN FLORIDA, March 14th and 15th 2014 http://www.sunshinestateeggfest.com You must master temp, smoke, and time to achive moisture, taste, and texture! I did have a Maverick in one of those in the medium, I had just took it out before the pic. Those three in the medium came up after the pic.

Thank's for the award Tim. It was one helluva day today. I showed up at the wedding with two hours to spare with all 16 butts hitting 200 and packed away in two rolling coolers. They were deffinately a hit with the afterparty. I had a bunch of people coming up and complimenting the cook. By the time I made it home at 6 and got the two coolers cleaned out, I was about to die. I managed to stay awake to see Auburn barely put it on Clemson and made a pit stop by here to say thanks to all for the compliments. I would do it again, but not until a few weeks of break. Night all!
