Any help with a Business name/location in or around Decatur, AL that sells lump, would be appreciated. Other than the Lowes or HD brands. I currently travel thru Decatur daily and would like to try some of the more respected brands. Thanks in advance for any local help or suggestions. I have to travel 60+ miles one way to get BGE lump which I think is great, but I run out of course at times.

Where are you now?
-
I work in Huntsville and pass thru Decatur daily.
-
Allsports Yamaha has BGE lump. Academy Sporting goods has lump. Kroger has their store brand lump which is actually pretty good. It has mostly good size pieces. Several places have Cowboy lump.
-
Thank you very much.

Are you looking for soemthing that you can't buy in Huntsville? I buy most of my lump in Huntsville and can find almost anything I would want to buy. Between the stores here, Decatur, Athens and Florence...you can find nearly anything worth buying (except Wicked Good)
You should easily find:
Royal Oak
Publix Greenwise
Ozark Oak
BGE
Cowboy
Other private label -
Found Royal Oak @ WalMart in Moulton, AL for $6.37 per 10lb bag. At $0.64 per lb. vs. $0.77 per lb. is what I was paying for BGE. Is this about the going rate for other out there. Thought I saw another poster bragging about $3.25 for a bag of Royal Oak. Maybe it was an older post or maybe a smaller bag, or just fiction.

$6.37 is the going rate for RO at the Walmarts in North Alambama. You can find it in Huntsville. I know I see it at several Walmarts throughout the year. The only place to avoid is Athens. That is Rolling Egg territory and he is highly protective of his Wally World

If one of our North Alabama Eggers would be so inclined to get up a group pallet order for Wicked Good, count me in for 5!
-
I would go in for 5 bags myself. Don't know about shipping costs. Appears to be 30 bags to a pallet so I would guess $2-$3 per bag for shipping.
-
My only inclination is to get on an airplane in 24 hours for vacation :woohoo: WG can wait 9 days
-
I have family members watching my scarce supply of RO at Wal-Mart. They see this guy with no hair in the center, snooping around the garden center all the time. I think I'm closing in on who it is.
-
Where ya'll going?
-
Uh, well, er, tell them to introduce themselves - alas, it is I.
-
I will tell you in ten days (dix as they say where we are going)
