Hi all! If the couple that made the Monkey Bread at the PA Eggfest frequents this board please drop me a not or reply to this thread. My two little girls LOVED it and want me to make it. I remember you rattling off the recipe to me but i was unable to jot it down. Thanks!

I wasn't there, but I've had much-o compliments with this recipe:

RRP’s MONKEY BREAD IN CLAY POTS

Source: A melody of recipes that seems to work for us!

1 6” seasoned* clay flower pot
1 can of Pillsbury Grands Homestyle Buttermilk Biscuits (16.3 oz 8 pieces)
    ½ stick butter, melted
    1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
    ¼ cup granulated sugar
    ½ cup dark brown sugar
    ¼ cup chopped pecans

    • Mix the cinnamon and sugar thoroughly.
    • Spray the inside of the seasoned* pot with Pam.
    • Place parchment paper in the bottom of the pot or a baked roll or a round disc of bread to block the hole
    • Open biscuits and cut each into 4 pieces.
    • Roll each of the pieces into a ball.
    • Dip each ball into the butter and then roll it in the sugar/cinnamon mixture, so as to coat evenly.
    • Place coated balls into pot and sprinkle on some nuts at each layer.
    • Pour remaining butter over the balls and finish off the nuts.
    • Set up BGE indirect using inverted plate setter with your grill on top. Cook for 30 minutes at 350 dome. Top should look done and should spring back when touched.
    • Cool for at least 10 minutes. Run plastic blade around inside to remove bread. Discard the parchment paper or baked roll.
    ENJOY!

*To season a new clay pot, wash and dry it thoroughly. Then brush the entire pot inside and outside with veggie oil. Place on a sheet of foil on a cookie sheet in a cold oven and bring oven up to 400 degrees. Shut off oven and allow to cool in the oven. Repeat this procedure two more times.
