Susan where would one find an oven in a house?
When you find it: how do you put in the lump?
Salado TX Egg Family: 2 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max (I'm good for now).

  • Susan, Sorry about your prob. with the lid. Lettuce know what happened, strange goings on in the Mtns. :). Will see you at O-fest before the leaves change and then you can make some real Smoke on the Mtn. How was the PIE? Smiles your way.
  • The pie was o.k. Going to have to have a egg maintenance weekend ;)
  • I cant wait until I can forget how to use an oven! Until then (still have a month and a half)I'll just sit and gaze at my large in my living room :-(
  • I never heard of it happening after the egg was lit.
Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 6 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone eLse does!

for safety's sake put a fire extinguisher near the oven. after not using mine for some time i had a flashback from the oven, mouse was hiding dog crunchies on the burner    burp that oven door
  • I was using "Betty the baker". I use this egg the least & just for baking or things in a dutch oven. The temp got up to 700 or so but I got it back down between 400-500 before I was ready to put the pizza on. She was sealed tight, glad it was just for me. She opened up this morning no problem but without a gasket.

I am sorry you had to use that dust catcher in the kitchen. :)
