Anyone ever think of getting a custom stainless grate for the egg. I just ran across this on the web and I think it would be a great idea.

Anyone with artistic ability have any ideas? The wilder the better!

wow! that 's some really creative use of steel? do you have any more pics of the beer barrel?? i'm curious about the air intake to the bottom of the barrel.... are the gratesd cut with a water jet?...... thanks! ray

I have one of those from Brian.

If you are getting one and working on the design, keep in mind that the flat surface areas will be more of a griddle than grill. That can be useful (veggies for fajitas and such) but you really can use that design area for grilling.

You the artwork that you want to Brian and he will make a proof and email it to you. Once you approve the final design, he'll cut it out. Someone asked what he uses, I believe it's a CNC plasma cutter, but not sure of the terminology.
