I'm not a huge fan of pop but Throwback is gooooooood!
-
Its funny how all of this started.
The way it was explained to me was that stores in Texas and Mexico were getting customers asking for the Mexican (sugar) version of coke and pepsi so they were getting their pop from Mexico. I think it violated their agreement with their local distributer or something like that. So instead of people going across the border or buying imported mexican pop, Pepsi got smart and started doing these "limited time offer" deals which they have done numerous times in our market.
I honestly think they will offer it more and more, because it will please those who are used to sugar in their pop (read: the rest of the world besides us thank you very much 8 sugar farming families who pressured for sugar tariffs) and kids freaking love caffeine and sugar (read: energy drink craze). They are just testing the water friends, and hopefully they will dive in because this stuff rules. It will suck for corn and beet farmers but there are other uses for their products. -
what is pop? That is coke, even though it's pepsi
-
We have a large population of Mexicans in this area and I can find real sugar coke in lots of places. Pepsi is something we don't see (until this limited run)
-
you know damn well what pop is! Hey I won't complain because at least you are not saying the S word
-
The S word down here is vulgar and it is Saban :ermm:
-
I can agree with you on that but I know you won't agree with me on this
GO VOLS!!! -
Not as a Gator, but I think we are going to the AL/TN game this year. Might have to find some faded orange
-
The vols went out and hired a disciple of Saban as their head coach.. just saying...
-
I do not hate the tide or sweet nick, but if I have to choose I am going to Vols. If it makes your feel better and will cheer for any SEC school vs. anyone else in the country except maybe ND, Oregon and maybe a big 10 (35) team I do not absolutely hate.
-
that's my dog! I told you it was money!
-
I wasn't taking offense or anything, if it came off that way. Its football season, just trying to get ramped up!
-
Yeah and the Tide finally went out of the family and hired someone NOT a bear disciple!
Which leads me to the greatest Alabama joke in history. What does Mal Moore and a buzzard have in common? -
The Dr. Pepper plant in tiny Dublin, Texas about 70 miles SW of Fort Worth has been making Dr. Pepper continuously with real cane sugar. They are a small plant and their distribution is in a pretty small area, but they have a cult following even though the prices are higher. My hunting and fishing place is a few miles from there, and Dallas folks used to beg me to bring cases back to them."Bacon tastes gooood, pork chops taste gooood." - Vincent Vega, Pulp Fiction
Small and Large BGE in Oklahoma City. -
Dublin is the home of Dr Pepper - I mean where it was invented so it isn't surprising they still make it the proper way!Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

I don't expect we'll see that up here in Canada.context is important
-
Yeah, in Canada the Mountain Dew has NO caffiene..!?!?! What's up with that?
-

my guess is the extra sugar in there is meant to offset the lack of caffienecontext is important

They have been doing this for about three or four years now for limited times only. I've seen them in Florida, Ohio, Indiana and this week in Missouri. When the stock is gone they will disappear for another year or so. I bought a couple but with 46+g of sugar, it was a one time experience for our family for sure. Back to diet soda, water and tea for us.Visit my blog, dedicated to my Big Green Egg Recipies at http://www.bigtsbge.blogspot.com You can also follow my posts on FaceBook under the name Keep On Eggin' or the link http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Keep-On-Eggin/198049930216241

In Alabama they actually sell caffeine free diet mountain dew. Talk about removing ALL the good stuff :woohoo:
