The Coop was all clean and needed cooking in this morning, so I made some bread.
Before you get all Eggcited, no I didn't make it from scratch. I just thawed out some of that frozen bread dough in the bag, let it rise overnight and then added a few ingredient not called for in the instructions.
Turned out pretty good too.

I'm impressed, nonetheless. Hungry are you? My middle tells me that I'm eating way too much of that stuff lately. Or, is it that I'm not moving fast enough in this 100 degree heat to burn it off. Probably a little of both.

Lots of good looking bread my friend.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

Nice looking loafs there Leroy! you must be feeling better
-
Very nice looking loaves! Are those pampered chef loaf pans? Do they work better in the egg than standard metal ones?
-
Thanks. I just felt like doing some bread but I didn't want to go to all that trouble. So I took the easy way out.
Judy made some sandwiches on it for lunch. Pretty darn good. Probably give most of the rest away.
I'm still eating bread and not gaining much from it. I'm sure that won't last long though.

Thanks Julie. Yes, as a matter of faculty I am feel'n better. I'm now on the short list for being healed and feel'n good. That's a relief. I thought I was going to hurtlikehell the rest of my life. Looks like I was wrong.

You have a good eye, yes they are Pampered Chef pans. The do really well on the Egg. I think better than the metal ones which sometimes burn on the bottom.
I really like the 4-loaf, individual serving pan.
But four of the loaves were just cooked directly on the BGE baking stone. No corn meal or anything.

YUM I love fresh bread

Then you would have loved this. I added some olive oil to some Italian Seasoning (Spring Hen's idea) and let it soak all night.
Then I let the bread rise, punched it down and kneaded it just enough to blend in the olive oil/seasoning concoction. Let it rise again and baked @ 400°.
I'm sure it would go well with a nice bottle of Chainti.

Oh My. The Chicken Ranch has turned into a bakery
Next thing you know someone will start making ceramic smokers and BBQ pits.
