The gasket on my new replacement dome is falling off. Is it possible to reglue it? About one third of the gasket is hanging. How do I prep, and what should I use for adhesive? I am looking around for Rutland and so far unsuccessful. What is the name of the gasket material that is self adhesive, and where can I get it? This egg is pretty new but the story is getting old. I am not freaking out this time because it's happened twice on my new eggs, now on a new dome. You'd think BGE would find a fix for this problem. It seems the other ceramic cookers aren't having this trouble.

I note that Ranger Ray advocates a method wherein the RTV material is used for the gasket by itself. The method seems sound, but I elected to go Rutland because I am so far out of alignment right now that I didn't want to form a gasket to my current geometry.
