Dillard BBQ Contest

First of all I want to thank teams Bobby Q and Jus Fer Fun for being gracious hosts to us on Saturday at Dillard. It is always fun watching the teams compete and even getting to eat some delicious BBQ.
There were 68 teams competing and 7 teams used BGEs to cook on. The BGE teams placed 6,7,13,20,24,33 & 40. This was up against one of the strongest fields with teams like Jack's Old South, Big Bob Gibson & Cool Smoke also competing.
Congratulations to all of the BGE teams and thanks again to Bobby, Charlie, Tom, Diane & Sam for a fun way to spend the weekend.

Why am I not surprised by the strong showing by Big Green Egg'ers? Eggs cook very well and lots of Eggheads are turning out to be some great cooks. It just stands to reason that Eggs and Eggheads are a good team, not to mention strong competitors.

We attended this event on Saturday, but could not stay for the results. Do you happen to know who won what? I checked the Dillard Bluegrass & BBQ website and it lists previous years' winners, but not this years.
We had a great time at the event and met a lot of really nice Eggers. We had hoped to attend the event in Franklin, this past weekend, but we headed home instead. -
