Why am I burping up lighter fluid?
Away at the beach, all they have is a kettle grill and those instant light coals. I destroyed 2lbs of fresh shrimp today! You really take for granted how clean tasting hardwood lump is. Need to find some cowboy, stat! Anyone have a BGE rental delivery service serving Topsail NC? Will pay handsomely! Talk about a business model...

not a bad idea about renting out a bge for folks on vacation at beach.....you have given my kids something to think about.......i am not in topsail but what would you think it would be worth a week........75/100 with a security deposit. would be interested in what you think it would be worth. just wondering.
Large egg and mini max egg plus a Blackstone griddle
South Ga. cooking fool !!!!!!!!

Joe, you should of booked your beach vacation at the site of the mini fest http://www.tuckawayshores.com/ They have a XL for the guests to use

Just got back from a week at Nags Head, same issue. If there is a Lowes in Top Sail then you can get Cowboy, might be worth a half hour drive to Whilmington. Good luck!
-
Dunno - maybe $150 for the week?? Quick payback for someone to buy a few of 'em and rent em out at that rate!
-
do they offer flashback insurance? I'm a sloppy cook :silly:
-
The kettle's fine. Just get some lump and a chimney or sawdust/parafin starters and you'll do great. I've cooked many a fine meal on a kettle. You have to play to its strengths and avoid its weaknesses.
-
How long will you be in Topsail? If it's just today delivering one of my eggs to you wouldn't be worth the effort
-
thanks for the offer- just here a couple more days, will rough it with the kettle (there is a Lowes in Hampstead not far...will get some lump!). Next year I need to buy a mini/small and convince my wife it's more important to pack than the swimwear...
she'll throw out my golf clubs -
Next year let me know soon enough and I'll "lend" you one for a donation to American Spirit BBQ..
-
Joe-Never thought much about it before, but I too would be lost w/o my egg for more than a few days.
-
Tell me about it. We go to these cabins in western wisconsin a few times a year and they have nice propane grills - but the nicest propane grill cannot hold a lighter to the egg.
I also cannot stand watching my friends cook on their webers-crappy charcoal, a lot of lighter fluid, lid off, frozen burgers, etc. I started bringing my small and cooking for everyone instead of sitting there pissing and moaning. I pray for converts soon! -
IF you ............nevermind.
-
Webers are sweet! If you know how to use em.
