BBQ Places in Duluth GA area

I've grown up my entire life inside I-285 and now find myself working in Duluth GA (Boggs Road/Satellite Blvd). Folks here want to know where we can get good BBQ at lunch. I'm at a loss since all of my favorite places are either on the south side or up around Lake Hartwell.
Where are the BBQ places around here? Quality of food is important - ambience is not.

Just a few miles to Rods (Fidel).. :woohoo:
Sorry Bill, I really do not know a place there but I expect there are a couple, hopefully someone who lives closer will chime in soon. -
Dillards bbq is pretty good. It is on Lawrenceville-Suwanee rd kittycorner from Suwanee Town Ceneter

I agree with Dillards..pretty good Q...check their hours of operation...they are quirky
here is another one that isn't too bad

just don't go to Shanes Rib Shack...just my 2 cents... -
Try Jim & Nick's BBQ on Old Peachtree Rd. Pretty quick drive from Boggs Road area.
It sits in a parking lot of a Home Depot at the intersection of Satellite and Old Peachtree, just to the west of I-85.

A little bit further, but still about 10-15min south, just inside 285 on Peachtree is "Pig-n-Chick".
I haven't eaten at Dillards is 30years but it is good from what I recall. The worst ribs I've ever had were at dreamland. The only thing I've had from Jim & Nicks was some Brunswick stew I got at the drive thru to go with some Pulled Pork I was making. It wasn't bad although nothing like what I had growing up in GA, and it was very pricey.
Just my 2cents, sorry if stepping on toes.
Actually I think "Sonny's" has pretty good BBQ despite being a huge chain. -
Sonny's boils their meat.
