Because they are great!! I have had my egg for nearly 3 years, and this was the first time I cooked "just wings"
S&P, BGE Green Pecan Seasoning, and a chunk of sugar cane.
Raised grid at 350
Trying to let them cool so i will stop burning my tongue!!
A few that didn't get away
Did them about 25 - 30 minutes both sides, but I think around 20 - 25 minutes per side would have been plenty. All in all a great, quick weekday cook.

Looks great. Sugarcane for smoke... genius. I bet that adds some great flavor. Silly ?...where do you get sugarcane?Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

I picked up a stalk at the farmers market, cut it up into pieces and stuck them in the freezer. Then pull out what I need. Makes for a sweet smelling smoke, I stole the idea from someone here on the forum, but I don't remember the victim's name.

There is no stealing - just sharing
I use sugar cane on poultry all the time. You are the first person I have seen using sugar cane - pretty good ain't it.
Two birds resting their legs on sugar cane
Cooked some sugar cane wings with Hoochie Mama at this year's Oklahoma City Fest and at the Texas Eggfest
Light smoke
I cut them into 6-8" pieces (basically at the nodes) then split and store in the freezer. -
All this talk of sugar cane makes me think it might be a Mojito night. While I cook on the egg of course.

I love doing wings on the egg. We don't cook them any other way. This is the greatest signature EVAR!

Love my wings off the egg ... dry rub, never tossed in sauce. Usually people are shocked because they've never had sauceless wings. Mmmm ... now I want wings!
