Thanks, Pastor..... but I have a confession: this has been knocking around my noggin for a long, long time.... Ya know, the decline of liveliness on the forum into utter plainness of cooking and niceties. Felt something had to be done and someone had to step up to the plate.

How was that for incorporating guideline 1?

    Pete,
And here I thought your loss of words was because of your haircut. Hair growing back in now? :woohoo:

Borrowed material is all fine and good but it will only carry you so far. Originality is what will get you noticed and make you shine like a star..... keep trying, though.... I have a feeling you have it in you!

That's the spirit, CW. You made use of the first guideline very well.... and the 2nd one with not so much fury and a gentle nod to 11.

3 in a single post bonus.....

That's the thing that strikes me, Woo. Even while Wess and I were going at it hammer and tong, we (at least I...Wess can speak for himself) never urged anyone else to get involved. Yet everyone, including those who style themselves as being so very above-it-all-I-shall-now-judge-those-involved, seem to be versed on every syllable of the melee as they now pronouce themselves so revolted by a thread they couldn't wait to read. (See also: My link to the Monty Python sketch on YouTube). You'd think everyone would be averting their eyes from such a horrible event, no?

It speaks well of the audience for future performances.

"I just HATE that JR Ewing!! That man is EVIL!!"
"Oh, I know, he's so deceitful and mean to Bobby!"
    "Shh....it's coming on now."

    Bravissimo! Encore!!! Encore!!!

    I'm speechless with overwhelming envy.

You, my friend, are going to be a star.

You rightfully should have the title of president-for-life..... but my boundless ego won't relinquish it just yet... A few more performances like that and I just may be persuaded, though.

Secretary Gator Bait.... this man clearly gets a nominee for liveliest stage execution of the day!

  • Thank you, I guess. :silly: The fact that I am on here anonymously, I will accept the label of troll. Personally my definition of troll is someone who is trying to get an argument going, or hiding behind a fake name to take a pot shot at someone in a pathetic attempt to get back at them for a past transgresion. Neither is the case. I certainly am not hoping to start any drama, I am hoping to reduce it. As for getting even, I have never locked horns with Wess. I have been a member of many forums. They all were full of constant fights. When I found this forum I was amazed at how people all got along, and how helpful everyone was. I mentioned this to a friend. He asked how long I had been on the forum. I told him 5 days and he burst out laughing. He told me to wait. Well it was not long after that when Wess ripped some poor soul apart. And this scene has played out over and over and over and over again. I Wess realizes how badly he looks in the latest fiasco. He will restrain himself for a while. But seriously, each fight gets worse, and then he throws out death threats. Fornia, you asked Jeffersonian why no one was backing him. Can you really not see the answer to your own question? Like I said, for years now, people who argue have come and gone, but Wess is the one constant in almost every fight. This forum is like a really great party. The room has a great vibe, the band is great, fantastic food, beautiful people. But then you see a turd in the punch bowl. No offense, but Wess is that turd. Wess will never take the advice of newbies or people who are not the forum heavyweights. Understood. But it seems to me that the people who are indeed the heavyweights should get together and do some sort of intervention. Please, someone man up and help this forum be as great as it can be.

That was a good try, Mike.... really was and I give you an C+ for effort but where was the passion? Work with me here... I suppose your post could have touched on 5 and 10 but that's probably a stretch.

Chin up, though.... there's always next time!

Apparently you were not around in the early 90,s when JJ would have a couple of adult beverages and he and Tim or just about anyone else would go at it. LOL AH the good old days. And who was it that used to post pictures of Springstein all the time? LOL

Close enough to one of my favorite MP sketches of all time, and one that my middle son has regrettably memorized...verbatim.

Well, the memorization wasn't regrettable, but calling someone a "snotty-faced heap of parrot droppings" at the wrong time was. :woohoo:
