You have to love the lilies. Easy to care for and they just keep on producing.

    Before:
I do not have a pic of dads car before on this PC :( it was blue and painted with a paint brush by the last owner. BAD LOL I am hoping he will drive it in the town parade this weekend with Neil and our son mike nad his son Brady. all 4 generations... Dad will Bawl the whole time I am sure so Neil will have to drive. it has taken him 6 years to "get-er-done"

    After:
    59635c82.jpg
the bumper is off the front cause the "gas stuck" last week when he drove it the first time and he hit a birch tree in the front yard with it. Neil found another one and he is getting it this week. thank god it had not gone in to be chromed like we tried to get him to :( he was sick enough as it was. and yes that is the same colors of our 53 F-100

Great close ups Chris! What are you using for a camera? I should be out looking for the creepy crawlies too. This was my last bug shot. I little white leaf hopper. I think I read that thee are like 10,000 species of white leaf hopper or something crazy like that.

My close up rig. Close ups are as much fun as long telephotos.

I can't tell what your first little friend is, I know I got stung by a relative of his a week ago.

The second photo looks a lot like a Japanese beetle but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

Your psychedelic friend is an Ailanthus Webworm Moth a cool looking little guy.

I'm going to be playing with HDR. I am trying to think of a good subject and will contact you when I have something worth looking at. It will probably take a little time to get it together. Somewhere in the stuff I read about HDR I saw reference to tone mapping which only requires one photograph. It sounds like it would apply to my wildlife photography so I need to start researching it also.

    Have a great Woosday,

    Gator

Thanks for the bug ID's Gator! 2nd was a Green June Beetle. Really neat looking iridescent color.

Here's my macro rig.I tried to keep it light and simple. Just a 100mm Promaster with 1:1 close up adapter and my SB-600 with Sto-Fen diffuser.
    4812769978_04bd592d02_d.jpg

Good luck with the HDR. I've not tried the single exposure stuff yet but for nature it might be best when you only get 1 shot before the subject scurries away.

You're going to love going through the Charcuterie book, ME. My family is constantly asking me to make something out of it.

Those are some of the biggest crawfish I've ever seen. :woohoo: Do you usually steam them or boil em in spicy water?
