Smokin Aces

I just finished this table and wanted to share. It has wheels because I will be taking it to competitions. The small door at the bottom holds my plate setter and grills.
By the way the dog's name is Tabasco.

Cool idea - nice cart!
But I have a question of those who have XLs. I know BGE doesn't supply feet for the XL, but shouldn't you put more than 1.5" of patio block between the egg and a flammable surface? Every time I see a Large pic posted with a stone, but without the feet, the suggestion is always - use the feet, you'll burn the table if you don't. What should be done with an XL?I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Won't trade the Weim, he's got a Lab brother and we have 5 eggs.

We have another rig with 2 larges we use to compete and haven't had a problem. I'll let you know if we have an issue, we're firing it up this weekend for two long cooks. Don't anticipate any problems.

that is real nice ..,
1 curious as to how you move it to competitions..
2 all egg tables need beer bottle openers unless you are religious or other reasons for not consuming .
it is the law
3 based on all the pics and all the posts i recommend you put some feet under the egg -
I have a first generation xl bge and it came with feet I haven't had to use them yet because the stone is sufficent and its a inch and a half. and I DO SEAR AND COOK SOMETIME AT VERY HIGH TEMPS FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME.

1. We have a enclosed trailer with a ramp and tie downs
2. See your point about the bottle opener. Our other cart has drawers and that was one of the first things in it -
I have a problem with #2. I keg my homebrew, and therefore don't need an opener. Do I still "need" one?
-
no you don't home brewers are exempt ..
i got hops taking over my garden i grow them for the neighbor and he shares his home brew .. good deal -
Smokin Aces, I'd like to dognap Tabasco. What a gorgeous dog. I see your house, egg table, and dog are all the same color! Nice. Good luck with the BBQ competitions.
