I'm planning on picking up a large BGE as soon as I save the cash. I'm just wondering what it costs, on average, for charcoal to smoke a butt?

    Newguy,
For a butt, say, 18 hours, you are talkin about 2 bucks (maybe 3) depending on where you buy your charcoal. For two butts, $2.10.[p]It is hard to imagine a more efficient cooker.
Beers! And good luck on the saving,
    Chris[p]

  • It's hard to make folks believe how efficient the EGG is. At a friend's cookout last week the first thing I heard was, their charcoal is $14 a bag, when someone said I cook on an EGG. I explained that he will use 5 or 10 $5.99 bags before I'll use up my $14 bag cooking the same amount. It just about takes using one to make folks believe it cooks so efficient.[p]Good Eggin To You!!
